Most everything in this guide is optional. This session is about YOU. Feel free to do and bring whatever makes you feel like the goddess you are! You may do as much or as little prep as you would like. Just please arrive to your session with clean face, clean dry hair, and a photo ID

Timeline for your session!

Typically we start at 9am

Hair and Makeup will begin, while you sip on a mimosa and have a snack 1.5 to 2 hrs

The photo session will take approx 1 to 2 hours in studio

The reveal/ordering session will take 1 to 2 weeks after your photo session

There is a full client closet at your disposal at the studio, but there is something to be said for having images of yourself in something that you can also wear again for your significat other or yourself! Please feel free to bring any items you would like to incorporate! Here are some ideas that you could bring;

  • Full lingerie sets and pieces

  • Big off the shoulder shirts or sweaters

  • Your partner's sweater, button-up shirt, or sports jersey

  • One piece teddies or bodysuits

  • A pair of heels/thigh high boots - 4in heel minimum looks best in camera (don't worry, you wont need to walk much!)

  • Kink/bondage sets

  • If this shoot is for someone special, feel free to bring something that they love for you to wear.

  • More Ideas: Garters, garter belts, corsets, fishnets, crop tops, jeans/ jean shorts, lacy or satin robes, thigh high stockings, glasses (nerds are sexy), & jewelry. Let the fun begin!

There are tons of places to buy lingerie, but here are some of my favorites. Keep in mind that many of the thriftier options do not allow returns on intimate wear.

What about hair and makeup?

Here are a few Makeup + Hair tips before your session

prep your skin the night before with a soft exfoliation, lips too if needed, ( DON'T exfoliate your body after a spray tan/ or self tanner -Helps avoid patchiness)

Moisturize your skin as normal

Please come to your session with completely clean face/ no makeup and clean DRY hair

Please come in something like a zip up with a tank underneath so if we need to bring your foundation down on your neck to your chest and so you're able to change easily.

The makeup artist will reach out a day or two before your session to go over makeup looks, so go ahead and take a look at makeup looks so you can show her some ideas of what you are liking. Pick 2 or 3 makeup looks to show her.

Don’t forget your makeup and hair inspiration to show your artist before your session. If you don’t have any ideas that’s ok she will help!

A FEW FINAL TIPS BEFORE YOUR PHOTO SHOOT

If you have any waxing done please make sure to do it a couple days before the shoot. Please do not feel like you have to wax or shave, it is not required! We just want to be mindful of shave bumps or irritations.

Arrive to your session in loose clothing to help reduce lines from bras/ underwear/ socks and any other tight clothing on the skin.

Make sure to treat yourself with a mani- pedi or be sure your nails are clear of chipped nail polish. Its often a last thought and can show in photos.

Keep moistorized and hydrated. This includes lip balm. Drink lots of water for a healthy glow on the day of your session, and get plenty of rest the night before your session.

Don't drink or party hard before your session. There is nothing worse than trying to feel beautiful and your best self while hungover.

Avoid Sun tan/ Sunburns as much as possible before your session. I cannot edit out certain tan lines/sun burns.

Stretch! This may seem silly but this is so important! Boudoir is a lot more physical than you might expect. If you have any injuries that prevent certain movements, let your photographer know before your session.

Don't stress over the little things! I will remove non permeant blemishes such as acne and bruises. Please let me know if there's any scars you would like removed.
